Kyrenia Municipality 2. Underwater Hunting Photography Contest (Scuba Diving Category)

The rules of the competition you will participate in areas follows:

1. To be an advanced diver and to present this document to the responsible persons on the day of the competition at the latest.
2. Bring cylinder, air, full kit (BCD, cylinder pressure gauge, main and back up air source), and dive computer.
3. To sign the document stating that I have read and understood the safe diving rules.
4. Giving the card to be used in the underwater camera to the responsible persons in an empty form and having them checked and do not open the camera afterwards .If the camera needs to be opened, open it with a responsible person.
5. To comply with the rules and warnings of the boat user on the transfer boat and to act according to his instructions.
6. To act in accordance with the information to be given before the dive and to clarify the issues that are not understood during this time.
7. There commended depth during the competition is 27mand the durationis 25minutes. However, the depth should be limited to a maximum of 30mand the recommended time at this depth is 20minutes. Considering that a dive computer will be used, the maximum dive time is limited to30minutes (up to the safety stop).
8. Divers must strictly adhere to a dive profile that does not require a decompression stop.
9. The photos taken are free to be altered without leaving their essence.
10. The copyrights of the photographs nominated in the competition will belong to Kyrenia Municipality.

The disqualification conditions of the competition you will participate in areas follows:

1. To act in accordance with safe diving rules and to stay close and in contact with your buddy.
2. Not to exceed 30m depth and 30minutes (until the safety stop) dive time.
3. Making a dive that does not require a decompression stop.
4. To make a minimum 3minute safety stop.
5. To arrive at the safety stop with at least 50BAR air.
6. Following the boat user’s instructions.
7. When returning to the shore, open the camera in front of the responsible persons and handover the card or transfer the images.
8. Notify the responsible parties of the 3 photos nominated within 48hours after returning the card or transferring the images.
9. Competitors must send the 3photographs that they have chosen for the competition to girnefest@girnebelediyesi.com within 48hours at the latest.
